Healthy Feet are Happy Feet

Taking care of your feet is extremely important. Both feet, combined, make up for 25% of the body’s bones, 18% of joints and 6% of the muscles. Doing damage to any of these parts can cause serious harm to your body. One of the best ways to stay healthy is by moving, whether it is through activities like walking, running, dancing, exercising or even cleaning the house.  I find one of the the best ways to compliment your healthy feet is a pedicure.

If you’ve never had one, make an appointment. Your pedicure will start with a warm foot soak to help soften and relax the skin and toenails. Next, a careful trim and file of the toenails. On to a nail cuticle treatment that includes the cuticles being pushed back and the application of nourishing cuticle oil.  An invigorating foot scrub to remove calluses and flaky, dry foot skin. Moisturizer is applied to accompany a foot and lower leg massage. The final touch is your favorite toe polish. When you look down at your feet, you’ll realize the pedicure was completely worth it. Your feet are smooth, soft, clean, and most importantly healthy!

Below are four 5-star favorites to help keep your feet and toes looking pretty and feeling happy between pedicures.

Tea Tree Oil Foot Soak With Epsom Salt – refreshes feet and toenails and soothes dry calloused heels leaving your feet feeling soft, clean and healthy.

Majestic Pure Himalayan Salt Body Scrub – all natural scrub to exfoliate and moisturize skin.

All Natural Antifungal Foot Cream – moisturizing organic relief with therapeutic grade essential oils of peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus and tea tree.

Essie Nail Color Polish – My favorite color:  Lacquered Up. The color is on my feet in the picture above…along with a little sand from the beach!
